A loan of $725 helped to buy supplies for his farming business.

Cayo's story

Sr. Cayo, 32, and his wife have three children. He has a primary school education. He's a farmer and his main crops are potatoes and green beans. The farm covers a cultivable area of 2.5 hectares (or a little more than 6 acres). He inherited the farm from his parents. The farm is in Huaylla Pujru, a rural community in Tiraque, some 74 kilometers from the city of Cochabamba. Sr. Cayo and his wife are hard-working and responsible people who want to improve their standard of living. To do so, they plan to increase their output, a plan for which they need investment capital to buy chicken manure (for fertilizing the land) and seeds for their next potato crop. The investment will allow Sr. Cayo to improve the quality of life of all those who depend on him.
