Monica Lisbeth's story

Mrs. Monica is a member of the communal bank "The Triumphant" from the Calleria District, Ucayali Department. She is 40 years old, married, and has 4 children. She has been working with three loans from Manuela Ramos. She sells sweets by foot on the outskirts of a school.

With her new 1,700.00 Peruvian Soles loan she will buy: 3 bags of caramels, 2 bags of gum drops, 1 bag of lollipops, 3 boxes of cookies, 1 bag of toffees, 1 bag of chocolate, 1 box of fruits, and 1 box of lentils. She sells from Monday to Friday and on the weekends does house work and helps her children with their homework. Her husband is in charge of almost all of their living costs and is a chauffeur. Monica is very happy that her sales permit her have an extra income for their home. She also has a daughter who is working and helping pay for living costs.
