A loan of $1,100 helped to buy soldering supplies.

Mayra's story

Mayra is a member of the Las Triunfadoras communal bank in the Calleria district, Ucayali department. She is 47 years old, married, and has three children.

She has been working with the loans from Manuela Ramos for ten years. She has a small soldering shop, and her husband is the one who is in charge of doing the work. She invests all of her money in the shop because it always needs tools. If some of the machines break, they need to be fixed.

She will use her new loan for 3,000 sole to buy one can of solder paste, one cutter, five keys, one package of saw blades, and one bucket of grease. They use all of the income that they get from their work for the things that they need. They also save some of their money for an emergency.

It is improving financially, and this makes her feel good. Her children go to a good school, and she is very grateful to Manuela Ramos. They have given her a hand to expand and maintain her business.
