Sonia Priscila

A loan of $550 helped to buy pigs.

Sonia Priscila's story

Sonia is a member of the Corazón de Jesús communal bank. She lives in del Valle (Cuenca) parish, an area of beautiful scenery, friendly, gentile, and hard-working people who work in trade, raising animals, and farming. Many work in different jobs in the city.

Sonia is 21, married and she has a 3-year old son. Her husband is a carpenter and they live in a rented house because they don’t have their own yet.

She is a housewife and takes care of her small son. Since she is at home, she is going to start a business of raising and selling pigs. That is why she is requesting a loan-to buy pigs to start her business.

The communal bank is on its third loan cycle and she is very happy with the help that the institution gives. Her goal is to have her own house.
