A loan of $1,200 helped to buy building supplies.

Jose Antonio's story

José lives in the town of Ticuantepe together with his wife and children. His wife works as a saleswoman in order to help him cover their household expenses as they have children who need their care and support. José has been working as a taxi driver for several years. The biggest difficulty he faces is the rising price of fuel as this affects his profits and very few people choose to take a taxi because of the cost.

José's plan for his family is to improve their living conditions as he hasn't managed to close off part of his house and this is causing him problems because of the rain they get in the winter. He would also like to build a dividing wall between his living room and bedroom because it is all one room right now and there is no privacy. He is grateful for the support and trust he has received from Afodenic through their Kiva fund. It has helped him to improve his quality of life.
