Pet, 42 years old, is a farmer who earns $1 per day. She is a single mother with three children. One of her children is studying and the other two are working in the factory, earning $3 per day. Every month, she has to spend $27 on food, $5 on electricity, $7 on school fees, $10 on transportation and $15 on other expenses. She would like to request a loan of $250 to buy pigs to feed and sell. This loan would help her to have enough money to buy pigs to feed so she can earn more income to support her family.
