Zoila Targelia's story

Señora Zoila is a member of the communal bank Yanaturo. She lives is the Yanaturo community in the city of Cuenca, a place where the people work in agriculture, raise animals, and also work in the city in different economic activities. The people are kind, gentle, and hardworking and work day after day to advance themselves.

Doña Zoila is 40 years old. She is married and has four children, ages 19, 17, 14, and 7. Her oldest daughter studies at the university, two are in secondary school, and her youngest son goes to a little city school. Her husband is a craftsman and works in jewelry. The house they live in is their own.

Señora Zoila has been a nursing assistant for 20 years. She works from Monday to Saturday with rotating hours. In her free time she sells jewelry and clothing; she has been doing this for 4 years.

She has been a member of the communal bank for two and a half years, and she is going to invest her new loan in the purchase of clothing and jewelry to have a bigger stock of merchandise to offer her customers.

Her goal is to buy a car.
