Diamoral Group's story

This solidarity group was set up on 29th May 2001. It is made up of 15 women who live in the same village. Their main activity is trading.

Fatou, who is on the right of the photo with her hand raised, is in charge of the group. She is 54 years old, married and mother to ten children. She also has another child entrusted to her care by her brother.

She has a fish-selling activity and has good experience in this domain having done it for more than six years.

This loan will enable her to increase her income by buying more stock (dried fish). The profits she makes will allow her to help her husband provide for the family.
