A loan helped to buy new clothes, shoes and bags.

Rosemary's story

Rosemary owns a clothes shop, which she has run for seven years. She got the idea knowing that there are many who travel to Malindi to visit the town. She is married and has a 4-year-old child who has just started kindergarten. They live in Malindi town of the Coastal Province, Kenya. The main challenge with her business comes during the low season between February and July when there are low sales. Many tourists leave the town during the time of August through to January of the following year.

Rosemary was invited to join Milango by her friends and has been a client of Milango Financial Services for eight months. A loan of 80,000 Kenyan shillings will help her restock her stall in preparation for December festivities. She desires to restock her business from the actual manufacturers and not through middlemen – a feat she can only achieve with higher capital. Rosemary intends to open other clothes shops within Malindi town. This loan will help improve her life, save and make plans for her young child.
