Abdulia Karim's story

Abdulia is 43 years old and married with six children between the age of one and 17. He runs a general merchandise store in Waterloo near Freetown. Abdulia has been in this business for 14 years and sells drinks, cigarettes; milk and mosquito spray at his store. His business is the only source of income he has. He says that the main challenge to his business is a problem with thieves. He requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more drinks, cigarettes, milk and mosquito spray. Abdulai says that the extra income from this loan will help him to render assistance to his family. In the future, he would like to be a supplier to other partners.
