A loan of $1,550 helped a member to purchase spare parts.

Gulnaz's Group's story

Gulnaz is the leader of this group. She is 33, and together with her husband she runs a private business. She has two daughters and a son.
All the children study at school. Nine years ago, with an initial investment of 20,000 soms, Gulnaz opened a computer saloon. In the beginning, she had six computers. Now she has increased its number to fifteen. She also purchased a printer and a Xerox. At the moment, she needs additional funds to purchase spare parts to update the computers in the saloon. In the future, Gulnaz plans to repair the saloon, and, with the profits gained from the business, she wishes to purchase a house in Bishkek (capital of Kyrgyzstan).
