A loan of $1,025 helped to buy 30 dozen of hair extensions.

Tchédjou's story

Tchédjou is married and has two school-attending children. She lives with her husband and her children. Her husband takes care of the family expenses.

She's a professional hairdresser, and also sells cosmetics, hair extensions, pagnes (colorful African cloth), and other items, to a clientele comprising mostly people from the area where she lives.

Tchédjou gets her supplies from wholesalers in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. After realizing some sales, she noticed that she's not able to meet customer demand anymore. This is why she contacted Kiva's partner, FINADEV, in order to bolster her purchasing capacity.

She's seeking a loan from FINADEV, whose additional income will help her pay the expenses of her household and improve its social and economic standard of living.
