A loan of $550 helped to buy cattle and the appropriate feed.

Lizeth Andreina's story

Srta. Lizeth Hortensia is a member of the Communal Bank “Bella Vista”. She lives in a community that is part of the parish of Victoria del Portete (Cuenca), which is located to the south of the capital of Azuaya. This area is named in honor of a field battle that took place at the foothill of Portete on February 27, 1829. The people have maintained the local traditions and earn their living by raising animals and farming.

Srta. Lizeth is 21 years old, single, and lives with her parents. Her father works in various activities and her mother raises animals, especially cattle. They do not own a home, so they live in a rental property.

Lizeth spends her time at home raising animals such as guinea pigs, chickens, and cattle and then sells them in her community or at the fairs in the city. This is her first loan and she will use the money to invest in cattle and the appropriate feed. Her goal is to enroll in the university and become a professional in the field of medicine.
