Yekaterina's story

Yekaterina is older than 65 years old. She lives and works in the resort town of Berdyansk. She is a widow. Yekaterina is involved in sales of women's shoes and clothing and also hats. Since Yekaterina opened her retail outlet, she has always tried to grow and expand the merchandise assortment. Despite her age, Yekaterina stands out for her hard work; she is physically healthy and has been working in this business consistently for 15 years. Currently, her revolving capital amounts to 40,000 hryvnia. Yekaterina plans to use the 12,000 hryvnia loan to expand the merchandise assortment and successfully sell it at prices lower than usual current market prices. Last spring, Yekaterina Yur'evna made major repairs to her house, installed an air conditioner, bought a computer for her grandson, replaced wallpaper in her home and repaired an outer west-facing side of her house.
