A loan of $925 helped to buy nutritionally balanced animal feed and to do some repairs to his corrals.

Hanz Nord's story

Hanz, 31, lives with his wife and children in his own house that only has electricity and is located in Paijan District belonging to La Libertad Department, a zone noted for farming, animal husbandry and tourism.

Hanz has been raising small farm animals (guinea pigs and barnyard fowl) to sell for several years now. His corrals are in his back yard and he feeds his animals nutritionally balanced feed, grains and natural grasses. Once they reach ideal size and weight he sells them to customers in various local markets and uses income obtained from the sales to cover his daily household needs.

He has asked Edpyme Alternativa through its Seed Capital program for a 2500 new sol loan to buy nutritionally balanced feed for his animals and to do some repairs to the corrals to fatten his animals up and then sell them in the various local markets aiming for good prices for them to have higher profits to provide his wife with a better quality of life. Hanz is a person who is dedicated to work and all he wants is to be able to provide his family with some comfort at home and that his business continues to grow.
