A loan of $1,100 helped to buy rice, sugar, preserves, and detergents to stock his store.

Mario's story

Mario is 31, and is a modest hard-working man. He lives in his own house with his wife Feliciana, who is 30. They have two children, Nelida and Marilyn, to whom they long to give a better quality of life. Mario has farmed for 20 years, and has become an expert on the crops that he produces, such as cacao and yucca. During all that time he has gotten up very early to look over his land and the needs that his crops may have, in order to obtain quality produce. What he likes about his work, is that thanks to the good harvests that he produces and the business that he has, he can cover his family's expenses. Furthermore, he has a business selling groceries, and it has been very difficult to get working capita to stock his store. But even so, Mario isn't losing hope of moving forward, and being able to give the best to his family. This is his 12th loan with MFP. He knows that he has to make his payments on time, in order to access another loan. He participates in all the meetings of his communal bank. With the 3,000 nuevos soles he is applying for, he will buy more products for his business, such as rice, sugar, preserves, detergents, and other things.
