A loan of $550 helped buy wood.

Mercedes's story

Mercedes is 38 years old, and lives with her partner and their 5 school-aged children. They reside in Santa Rosa, located in the beautiful Ayacuchan jungle, where they have their own wooden home. Mercedes began working as a farmer, but as time went on, she invested her earnings in a different type of business and decided to begin working with her partner making all kinds of furniture. Her husband already knew that business, and knew how to make pretty designs and creative new models, and for this reason their customers feel satisfied with their work. They normally work from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and they sell the furniture from the first floor of their house. Mercedes came to MFP to ask for a loan in order to keep progressing and providing services to her community. Her future plan is to be able to expand their carpentry shop as they need to store and purchase new machinery in order to cut down on time and cost. This is her ninth loan with MFP, and she is very happy to keep receiving these loans and she wants to thank all the people who will make it possible for her to get the money she needs. With the requested amount she will buy wood to keep making more furniture.
