A loan of $550 helped to buy cacao seeds.

Justina's story

49-year-old Justina is a humble and hard-working woman who lives in her own home together with her husband, Domingo, and their three beloved children who inspire her to get ahead in life and keep them safe and sound. The green fields of her village of Palmapampa, located in the tropical rainforest of Ayacucho, have been a pleasant place for Justina as she has worked and lived there together with her family. Her parents taught her how to farm when she was very young and she now has her own land. It is her husband who supports her the most in her work. Justina provides her cacao and banana plants with a lot of care and attention. What she most enjoys about her work is harvesting her crops. She has been in this business for 20 years and she considers the most difficult part of her work to be transporting her harvests to the warehouse centers located in the different towns in her region. Justina is requesting this loan so that she can sow more cacao plants as this is one of the plants which provides fruit in the least amount of time. This will be Justina's third loan and she is very happy to know that she will have your support. With her 1,500 soles, Justina will buy cacao seeds and thereby increase her production.
