A loan of $1,000 helped a member to purchase flour and coal.

Rano's Group's story

Rano is the leader of this group. She is 40 years old and is married to a baker. Together with her husband, she raises four daughters and a son. Their oldest daughter is married, another daughter studies at school, and their son is just one year old.

Twelve years ago, with an initial investment of 3500 soms, Rano’s husband rented a place for baking bread. At the moment, Rano has applied for the loan because they need additional money to purchase more flour and coal for baking bread. In the future, she plans to improve the business. With the profits gained from the trade, Rano plans to celebrate her second daughter’s wedding.
