A loan of $450 helped to buy pigs and goats.

Crisanta's story

Crisanta is 57 years old, married and has 2 children who are studying. Dulce Maria is beginning her first year in medicine at the polytechnic school in Mexico and Eduardo is in his first year of high school. Her husband is named Rene. He works in the field of livestock.

Crisanta and her husband have a business selling fish and livestock. They sell cows, goats, and pigs. They buy and raise them in order to later sell or they slaughter them to sell the meat in town. She says that the loan will be a big help financially as they have invested in the purchase of pigs and goats and have been using the profits to pay the educational expenses of their children. Crisanta would like to increase the size of the farm.
