A loan of $775 helped to purchase merchandise for her store.

Felicita's story

Felicita has had her general store for more than 9 years. She is requesting a loan to buy merchandise (fruit and vegetables, dairy products, cheese, cold cuts, ham, sausages) because her customers are requesting that she stock these items for sale.
Felicita does not have the money to make this investment in her business, and she does not want to decrease her revenues. She plans to pay her loan with the earnings from her business. Her husband, Bernave, takes care of the family and educational expenses for their 3 children who are in school with the salary he receives from working in construction.

Felicita and Bernave are originally from the city of Chapas, México and have lived almost their entire lives in Nuevo Laredo.
