A loan of $375 helped to buy tools and hire laborers.

Isabel's story

Isabel is 31 years old and lives in the village of Unión Autiki. She created her family there with Raul, her husband of 11 years. They have 4 children together that they are raising in the home they own. This brave woman works in agriculture with the help of her husband. Her primary crops are coffee and bananas in her 2 productive fields. What she likes best about her work are the hours of hard work in the fields because she likes to be active. She tells us that during the coffee harvest her beans are sold in the city of Pichanaki, where she gets a good price. This year, the price per kilo increased, so she wants to improve her crops in the new season for the upcoming year. She has 3 years of experience with this work and in the future she would like to purchase additional land for crops. She knows she will be able to do this because her husband works as a carpenter, building small wooden furniture items, which brings additional income into their home. They are able to save money for their future projects. She promises to be punctual with her payments. Isabel will use the money received from her loan to purchase tools and pay the salaries of the laborers who will help her clean her crops.
