Natalia's story

Natalia is from the village of Bredza in the eastern part of the country. She is 56 years old and married. She lives with her husband, Akaki, her 31 year-old son, her daughter-in-law and her 3 year-old granddaughter.

Natalia’s son has seasonal work. He is employed as a construction worker and is busy seasonally, mainly in the spring and summer seasons. Natalia and her husband are leading the agricultural business of the family, which is an important source of income for the family. Natalia and Akaki grow beans, wheat and tulips on family-owned 2 hectares of land. Natalia sells harvested vegetables and flowers in Khashuri (nearby town). Total average income of the family is 800 Laris per month.

Natalia requested credit for cultivation of the land and to purchase wheat for sowing. After proper cultivation and purchasing high quality seeds, Natalia will get a good harvest next spring and sell it for a fair price. The family will get the planned amount of income, which will be used for financing family daily expenses.
