A loan of $375 helped to invest in her cleaning business, buying scrubbers, plastics, and scouring pads.

Elena's story

Doña Elena is 39 years old and has been married to Sr. Israel since she was 22 years of age. They have two dependent children, Aldo Eruviel (age 11) who is in the sixth grade and José Manuel (age 4) who is still not in school. Her husband is a merchant who sells household goods such as blenders, glasses, fans, thread, packaging, and lids.

She is requesting a loan to invest in her cleaning supply business. She plans to buy scrubbers, plastics, and scouring pads. With each product she plans to invest 1500 MXN because the quantities are not exact. Elena has been in this business for 19 years.

She considers her problem with low sales to be one that she has not had to face before. Almost nobody purchases these types of products nowadays. Nonetheless, her goal that she intends to reach is to grow her business a little more. She would also like to have a shop.

Elena says, “This is the first time I have participated in a loan, so I don’t want to fail. Instead, I hope you will continue supporting me so that I can move forward with my business.”
