A loan of $500 helped to buy stockings.

Eufemia's story

Eufemia is 50 years old and has been married to Pedro for 35 years. He is a merchant and sells fibers and blender pitchers. They have a 14-year-old daughter, Martha, who lives with them and is in junior high school.

Eufemia sells stockings during the week either in the municipal plaza closest to her community or in her own community, working as a street vendor. She has been in business for nine years. She is requesting a loan to buy more stockings because she needs to help her daughter immediately with school costs. She believes the loan amount she has requested will allow her to buy four dozen pairs in different colors and sizes.

For the time being she has had no real problems, only experiencing slow sales which is nothing new. Her goal is for her daughter to finish her education and for the business to grow more.

"Thank you for the loan that will allow us to have more merchandise and to earn even more profits."
