A loan of $500 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Alondra's story

Today’s woman struggles more for her family’s wellbeing; she works every day and takes care of her home. This is Alondra’s case. She married very young and she and her husband have worked hard to provide their children with a better quality of life. She’s from a location where most of the residents are avocado farmers since the soil there is very apt for this type of fruit. Alondra has two children going to elementary school. She comments that she has had a grocery store for several years now and she says that she started the business in order to help her husband meet household expenses.

She is asking for the loan to buy stock merchandise for her store. She will buy oil, eggs, milk, rice, beans, shampoo, toilet paper, diapers, etc. and also a few vegetables like onions, tomatoes and chilies which are the best sellers. Alondra’s goal is to build a cement store because the place she currently has her merchandise in is wood and during the rainy season it get wet sometimes and some of the products are ruined. She comments that she’s grateful to all the people who make the loans a reality because people are able to have a business that they can support their families with that way.
