A loan of $1,100 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Pedro's story

Pedro is 45 years old and lives with his partner Roberta with whom he has 4 children. Together they live in their own house in San Cristobel, Pichari. He works as a farmer, something he has done since he was very young as his parents taught him how to care for and work the land. He knows that farming requires a great deal of hard physical labour and dedication but at his age he is not able to meet all his work obligations. This is why he is undertaking another business selling groceries. In this way he can employ someone to do his farming work while he manages his grocery store. He is happy with the work he does as thanks to this work he receives a stable income. He is also grateful to his partner who helps him with the work. This will be his first loan with MFP and he agrees to make his repayments punctually. With the 3,000 soles (PEN) he will buy bags of manure for his fields to ensure not-stop production.
