A loan of $875 helped a member to cultivate more Irish potatoes to sell.

C 1683 Turwanyubukene Group's story

Charles is 53 years old and married with seven children between eleven and twenty years old. He is the leader of the group called "TURWANYUBUKENE" in the local language, which means "fighting poverty." This group is commonly known for selling Irish potatoes. Charles has been in this business for about thirty years, and his business hours are from 6 am until 8 pm every day. He currently employs three people to help him. Charles is the last person on the left side of the picture. Charles and his team have requested a Kiva loan via Vision Finance Company in order to cultivate more Irish potatoes to sell. With this loan, Charles and his team will hopefully earn more profit, which in turn will allow them to keep reinvesting in their business for better financial stability. In addition to that, they will continue improving their families' lifestyles, and they will be able to buy cows to fertilize their fields.
