A loan of $575 helped to buy ingredients and supplies for her dishes and to make renovations to her kitchen and living area.

Claudia's story

Claudia is a young businesswoman who works in the retail trade and sells food. Through these businesses, she has been able to push forward in order to help her large family with their income. There are several businesses that operate in her home. Her father has a rented store while she and her mother prepare and sell food. They work every day from 6am to 3pm.

At 21 years of age, Claudia’s main goal is to finish her university studies which is why she strives to grow her business every day. She is currently applying for her first loan from Fundación Mario Santo Doming and will use the money to buy ingredients and supplies for her dishes. Claudia will also make renovations to her kitchen and living room because she wants to have an organized space in her house for selling food. Her business is currently located on the terrace where it rains. Many times this has resulted in low sales, which is one of the greatest challenges that she must face.
