A loan of $300 helped to buy more merchandise such as candies, soda and stationery supplies to stock her business.

Maria Mercedes's story

34-year-old María lives with her family in her own home. The only basic service her house receives is electricity. Her home is located in Tambogrande district, in Piura department. The people in this area farm, raise livestock and make handicrafts.

For some years, María has been selling candies, soda, stationery supplies and other products. Her business is located in a small sales location that she owns, a few minutes from her home. She uses the profits that she makes from selling her products to try and cover her expenses and improve her quality of life.

In order to expand her business, María has requested a loan for 800 soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy more merchandise such as basic household products, with the aim of growing her business, having more products to offer her customers, repaying her loan and meeting her household responsibilities. María is a responsible, committed and hard-working person who works hard to improve her family's financial situation.
