A loan of $1,075 helped to buy paint and display cabinets for improving the appearance of her store.

Glenis Aida's story

Glenis is 46 years old and a single mother of two children. She resides in the neighborhood of La Soledad in the town of Juticalpa. Glenis sells basic food items, personal toiletries, and household products.

She has managed a store for approximately 15 years. Glenis started her business because she saw the need for her neighbors to have a place nearby where they could buy everyday consumer food products, household goods, and other items. Her initial investment was 3000 HNL and she gradually improved her sales. With her earnings, Glenis was able to increase the inventory of products in her store. Her schedule of operation starts very early in the morning and ends at 9pm.

Last year Glenis requested a loan to make improvements to her business, but she was not able to complete all of the work. She is now requesting a loan so that she can paint her store and buy several display cabinets. With the help of this loan, Glenis will be able to make her store nicer and more attractive to her customers. Her products will be well-displayed in their cases.

Her goal is to convert her business into a mini-market. This is her 16th loan with FAMA. Despite having undergone three operations for appendicitis, Glenis has been able to submit all of her payments on time.
