Nely's story

Nely is a member of the Nueva Generación 2000 Communal Bank in the Ilave district in the department of Puno. She is 52 years old and married. She has one daughter, age 16. Her husband helps her in her business.

Nely sells sodas, bags, coca leaves, and other products all day long from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m. in her stall located in a market in the area. She has had her business (a grocery store) for more than 10 years now. She started with a capital investment of 1,000 PEN.

She has been a member of the Manuela Ramos movement for two years.

With this new loan of 2,300 PEN she's going to buy new products like papers and coca leaves.

What she likes about Manuela Ramos above all is the savings, and her dream is to expand her business.
