A loan of $925 helped to buy 2,000 coffee plants and sacks of fertilizer for his coffee groves.

Ricardo's story

Ricardo is 25 years old and lives with Maylem, his wife. They have 2 beautiful children: Yero and Alexis. They live in their own house in the community of Sanchirio del Palomar (in the central Peruvian jungle). Ricardo's principal trait is constant work. He is a responsible father of a family; from early hours he works in his agricultural fields.

His principal crops are plantains and coffee. It bears mentioning that they generate good income, since his harvests are the best in the zone in agricultural campaigns. Ricardo's achievement is based on his training in how to produce a good coffee bean. Meanwhile, his plantains give them stability, as every 15 days, following harvest, he sells them in the central market of his city. For that reason, later on, Ricardo wants to buy more agricultural land, in which he can apply all he has learned and thus, have better crops each day, in both quantity and quality.

Ricardo belongs to the “Buenos Aires” (Good Breezes) communal bank and this is his 3rd loan with MFP, and he expects to advance with the association, since they are responsible persons with solidarity. He promises to be punctual in his payments.

After the harvest, Ricardo plans to renew his fields, with new coffee groves. Upon receiving the loan, he will buy 2,000 young coffee plants and natural fertilizer so that his groves will be a complete success.
