Tugeme Group's story

Asia, who is in her late 30s is married with three children who go to school. She has been running several types of businesses. She has a grocery store, a beauty salon, sells second-hand clothing, and motor cycle spares. She has been in these businesses for eight years now. She works from 8 a.m to 10 p.m daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be her 6th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to start the beauty salon, second-hand clothes selling business, and the motor cycle spare sales. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to increase the grocery store stock, salon equipment, second-hand clothing, and motor cycle spares. Her dream is to be able to build her own house one day.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Tugeme" which has a total of 19 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
