A loan of $550 helped to sell beans.

Kari Elizabeth's story

Kari, 30, is married and has five children. She resides in the town of Moroceli and works selling beans. She started this business three years ago when it occurred to her that she could grow beans on the back patio of her house, so she decided to do it and she did. Thanks to God the product of her harvest was very good, and from that moment on she knew that the work would allow her to support her family and give them the most things necessary to have a live of dignity. She sells from her house and her neighbors are her main customers. Kari will use the loan that she is requesting to buy several loads of beans because her crop doesn't give her enough. With the help of this loan she hopes to increase her sales and, with this, her earnings will go up and her business will remain active. Her goal is to have a grocery store and expand the range of products to offer her customers a variety of basic grains. This is her second loan cycle with FAMA and she hopes to fulfill her loan payments punctually and continue helping her husband with the support of their home. She especially hopes to be able to continue covering her children's school expenses because her dream is for them to have a better life than she did.
