A loan of $225 helped to buy jewelry and "pagnes" (colorful African cloth).

Akouavi Délali's story

Akouavi Délali, age 22, is married to a freight forwarder. They have one child to support. Since 2007, she's been working as an ambulant saleswoman, selling jewelry and "pagnes" (colorful African cloth).

She gets her supplies at the Grand Market in Lomé, as well as in Benin. She's seeking her first loan from Kiva's partner, WAGES, in order to buy jewelry and pagnes. She wants to open a shop so that she won't need to move anymore.
