Amelia's story

She was born in the district of Namaacha, in the province of Maputo, in southern Mozambique. A married mother of two school attending children. She completed secondary education and intends to continue her studies. She lives in her own home with her family and sustains her mother by sending some money to help with household expenses.

She left Namaacha for Boane to continue with her studies. She has worked as a lecturer at the Ministry of Education for over 19 years and has a monthly salary of 7.395.00 meticais (MZN) which she applies to household expenses and some savings to her bank account.

She has never had loans in other banks. She heard of Hluvuku from a friend who is also a client of this institution. This is her first loan with Hluvuku in the amount of 30.000.00 meticais (MZN) with which she would buy material to work on her home (sand, cement, iron, stone and other).

She has agreed to repay the loan without issue and looks to the future to complete her home for the comfort of her family. She hopes to ask for future loans from Hluvuku.
