Yervand's story

Yervand is 44 years old. He lives in the Tsovagyugh village in the Sevan district with his wife and a 14-year-old son. Yervand graduated from the Yerevan agricultural institute. After receiving his economist diploma, he spent 8 years working as an economist at the Sevan office of one of Yerevan's banks. Since 1998, Yervand has been working as a rescuer for the Emercom of Russia. Parallel to his work, Yervand breeds cattle, chickens and bees. He has one cow, two bulls, one calf, 30 chickens and 14 beehives at his farm. He produces honey for sale. Thanks to the profit from beekeeping and his salary, Yervand supports his family. He received five loans from the Nor Horizon organization and always repaid them on-time. Currently, he needs a loan in the sum of 700,000 dram to buy several new beehives and necessary medicine for his bees.
