Marilou's story

Marilou joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her business and living situation. She is 56 years old, married and has eight school-aged children. To make a living, she has been running her hog-raising business for more than five years.

She is requesting loan of 25,000 PHP, which she will use to purchase feed and vaccines. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the loan to improve the general living conditions of her family.

Marilou enjoys daily activities in her hog raising business. She devotes herself full-time to maintaining her business, which is the only source of income for her family. After taking care of the hogs for four months, she sells them, earning P7,000 (Philippine pesos) per head.
