A loan of $1,100 helped to buy products to set up a store.

Edwin's story

Edwin is 32 and lives with Bernardina, also 32, with whom he has two children. They live in their own house which is located in the Pichari district. He is very dedicated, having provided a public transport service since he was very young. Thanks to his parents, who helped him buy a vehicle, he has spent seven years working in this field. The business has generated a good income for him since he puts all of his effort into his work. He gets up at 4am to attend to his first customers, some of whom are stallholders who need to get to the central market at this hour. The work that he does means that he is constantly moving, so for that reason he needs to take many precautions to avoid accidents. Since his vehicle service date has expired, he now needs a new roadworthy certificate.

This is Edwin's first loan with MFP and he promises to make his repayments on time. With these 3000 soles he will open a general store to generate more income for his home.
