Kourbinal Group's story

Oumou is the "Kourbinal" group´s representative. She is married and the mother of one child who is 20 and goes to school. She has 6 dependents in total. For the past 20 years she has been selling divers products including embroideries and foodstuffs like, couscous, soumbala (a traditional spice) and flour. She gets her supplies in the town of Pissy and she will use the loan to buy nereid seeds (needed to make soumbala), 10 sacs of corn and a roll of fabric to embroider. Oumou is building up her savings so that she can pay for her children´s educational expenses, expand her business and build a large warehouse.
