Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,025 helped to buy Vitroceram laminate floor tiles.

Nancy Zenobia's story

Nancy is a contractor and offers services such as planing and laminating wood floors and laying parquet tiles. She also sells wood molding, planks, and Jansa cleaning supplies. The business is located in her home, in the Pampahasi area. She is a widow with a 15 year old son, and owns her own home. She also currently receives income from an “anticrético” home rental agreement. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticr%C3%A9tico). She alone takes care of her home and her son’s education. With the money from the loan, she will buy Vitroceram laminate floor tiles. She is a young and hard-working. She wishes to see her son in a professional job one day.
