A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase several barrels of fuel.

Justo's story

Justo is 53 years old and he lives with his wife, Domitila. They have 2 children together: Roxana and Viviana. They live as a family in a house rental located in the locality of San Pedro de Cajas. This capable and enterprising man generates an income as an artisan, an occupation he started when he was 18 and still practices today. His primary knitting projects include ponchos and blankets known as "gachacatas". They are use to carry children on one's back. Thanks to his dedication and creativity his knitting has generated large orders from buyers of different cities in the country. They constantly visit his workshop to make purchases. His considerable profits have permitted him to save money and in only three years' time he was able to open his own dispensary. He sells fuel to cars that come to his locality. He says that it is going very well because there are no gas stations in the region and several drivers visit him constantly. He is thankful for his wife's support because she takes care of their flock of 50 sheep. He is a member of the communal bank named "Telarmachay" and it is his fourth loan with MPF (Kiva Field Partner). He is happy with the work he has accomplished during this time. "I have learned to save money and to focus", he affirms. For this reason he promises to be on time with his loan payments. On receiving his support, Justo will invest the funds he requests in the purchase of several barrels of fuels to support his business.
