A loan of $850 helped to buy the supplies he needs to plant corn.

Manuel De Jesús's story

Manuel is 36 years old. He lives with his partner for life, his 2 children, and his mother.

Manual is a man who tries every day to provide for his family. He began to work in farming with his father when he was 10 years old. He wakes up every day 5:00AM in the morning to begin his daily work in agriculture.

He has to go to a nearby city to buy agriculture supplies that he needs, traveling 30 minutes in the back of a pickup truck from his community to the city.

He has a lot of experience in the growing of corn and now is asking for a loan from Fundacion Campo, in order to buy what he needs to be able to plant 2 rectangular blocks of corn. He will sell some of what he grows to cover household expenses and he will store some in order to feed his family. In this way he will be sure that his family has food on the table and income to meet household expenses.

Manuel’s dream is to save for a brick house, because now they have a home with mud walls and he lives there with his children, wife, and mother. This is why he works so hard to achieve his dream and he is sure that through this loan he will reach it.
