Benard is a forty-three-year-old married man with four children and he owns a house in Kasese, Uganda. The responsibility of looking after the family rests on him and his dream is to educate his children up to university. He has been in farming and also trading in agricultural produce for thirty years. His hardship is drought and his vision is bigger farm yields, acquiring land, plus setting up a food store.
