A loan of $1,800 helped a member to buy animals and animal feed.

San Valentin Group's story

The 'San Valentin' committee has ten [female] members who all come from the town of Santaní. They are all neighbors and friends from this town. All of the members have their own individual business activities which help them to support their families. They managed to create a group where they work as a team, within a framework of respect and mutual support. One of the members of this committee is María, who raises and sells animals. This has been the source of support for her family for some time. Through her business, she manages to provide her family with the minimum conditions for a decent life without hardship. She tells us that it is very hard work as it requires a lot of physical effort. María is requesting this loan to buy animals which she will later sell. She will also buy feed for the animals.
