A loan of $675 helped to buy chickens and chicken feed.

Hilda Yolanda's story

Señora Hilda is a member of the communal bank La Esquina. She lives in the parish of Miraflores. This parish has some beautiful spots where you can observe nature, a great variety of local dishes as well as friendly and kind people who maintain their culture and traditions.

Señora Hilda is 23 years old and lives in a common-law marriage. She has 3 children, 6 and 2 years of age and a 7 month old baby. Her first child attends a small school in the city. Her husband works as a private employee. They do not own their own house and so live with their in-laws and share the household expenses.

Señora Hilda takes care of her children at home as they are still small and this gives her the opportunity of raising chickens.

This is her third loan with the communal bank and with it she is going to purchase chickens and chicken feed.

Her goal is to have her own house.
