Mujeres Emprendedoras Group
In this Group: Cristina, Luzmila, Barbara Elizabeth, Presentacion, Nora Dina
Cristina is 41 years old, lives with her common-law husband, and has three children. She is currently a member of the 'Mujeres Emprendedoras' (Entrepreneurial Women) community bank which has five members who work in different commercial activities.

Cristina has been selling plastic products, gas and charcoal for ten years. She works in her district market. She started out in this line of work because her husband's salary wasn't enough to support their three children and so she set up a business selling plastic products. Over time, she gathered together some capital and bought charcoal and gas to sell. Cristina and her husband both worked very hard. They now have loyal customers and their business continues to grow. Thanks to her effort and commitment, Cristina has managed to improve their financial income. She has gradually been buying things for their home, their children have a private education and, above all, her family enjoys a better quality of life. With the aim of continuing to grow her business, she has requested a new loan to buy plastic products, charcoal and gas. We know that Cristina will achieve her goals with a lot of work and effort, and the loans from Edaprospo will help her.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
