A loan of $500 helped to plant corn.

Jose Santiago's story

Jose was born on May 25th in the town of Valle Grande. He lives with Aidé, who is a housewife. They have 2 adult children and they also work in agriculture and cattle breeding.

They have a 35 hectares plot of land, suitable for agriculture and livestock in which they grow cassava, potatoes, and corn. All the corn they grow is to feed the cows because they have 40 head of cattle, and the other things they grow they sell in the local market directly from grower to consumer.

They will use the money from this loan to plant corn. They have had 5 cycles with the communal bank and they are grateful for the support it has offered.
