A loan of $675 helped to buy pigs and pig feed.

Zoila Rosa's story

Zoila is a member of 'El Cisne' (The Swan) community bank. She lives in a community in El Valle parish. This parish is surrounded by mountains which provide us with beautiful landscapes. The people are very kind and they maintain the culture and traditions of their parents. They work in commerce, raise animals and farm.

Zoila is 61 years old, married, and has four children who are all grown up, married, and live independently. Zoila lives with three grandchildren who keep her company. Her husband works as a builder. They own the house in which they live. It is the result of their joint sacrifice and work during their youth.

Zoila has been working in a private home as an employee for 15 years. She works from 8 o'clock in the morning until 3 o'clock in the afternoon. She also raises and sells animals such as pigs, guinea pigs and chickens.

Zoila has been a member of her community bank for ten years. She is one of the founding members. She will invest her new loan in buying pigs and pig feed. Her goal is to raise more animals.
